Fatum SG orient express the service is luxury train lah ... orient express the route is not ... I was thinking of a china train trip also .... I got hooked when I travelled by train in china to the countryside about 6 years ago ... it was like something out of a 1930s movie ...
the_don SG *envy* i wouldn't be able to hit that target. even having a kid by 30 seems impossible for now. oh well. pray harder
ShrodingersCat SG 1930s... some part of Shanxi.. still belong to barely out of hunter/gatherer era. But I think those parts impossible for us to go to.
elindra SG I was thinking of having a kid by 30 But to think it's like 2 yrs away I keep telling myself NOOOOOOO it's too fast I don't want a kid now
shinta SG sales... i told u before... u wanna buy the stuff? its 19 buckz per tube... saw it last week...
elindra SG City Lodge Soi 19 Maybe you check out a few sites for the best rates It's like 2 mins walk to Asok skytrain and 5 mins walk to the sukhumvit underground Cross the road it's Robinsons and you have a 7-11 right beside you Have a supermarket below Robinsons too And lots of street stalls and their version of coffee shop too. Oh there is a food court in the supermarket below and further down the street is a pretty good Thai/Chinese resturant
elindra SG Oh ya hehehe Wahhh 19 bucks can buy kk Buy one to try first to see if it is really that good
the_don SG it's not compulsory but it will benefit the kid. i am a product of parents who dun send kids to these classes. i grew up fine, very notti when young but i still grew up to be an okie adult. but the memories of being picked on by my music teacher just because i cannot side-read (aka read the tao gay) is not pleasant at all. every gal in my class was learning some form of music - piano, volin, etc. damn teacher made me feel "lesser" just because i can't side-read. okie time for meeting
Fatum SG when I go play in bangkok, which was pretty often a few years ago ... I'd stick to khao san road ... there used to be a MOS there with lots of hot japanese backpackers ... but I hear it's now closed ...
shinta SG wah u went to an elitist sch is it? last time... in my sch pri n sec only a handful can side read... the rest all dunno...
the Bear SG so.. av bought his lunch from his canteen.. i wonder how long before he starts to foam at the mouth and drop to the ground flopping around in agony
ShrodingersCat SG i like to travel cheap but dont really buy into the backpacker culture. Antisocial and all... Find tt Khao San (hip and cool as it is) is really another mark that the occidental backpackers leave on the countries they invade. Its quite sad really. It's like when I went to Dali, China many many years ago... and in the midst of beautiful ancient huts and lovely mountains, there was a rowdy backpacker enclave full of beer guzzling europeans.. many who stay there long term cos they had this 'weed biscuit' thingy tt was going real cheap.
the Bear SG i had hijacked handmade noodles for lunch... i ordered one thing, they delivered another (cheaper) bowl, i just paid for it and ate it
elindra SG Can Sight read is elitist? My SO and I had very different educational backgrounds He went to a PAP kindergarden and neighbourhood primary school etc and took no lessons and played all day I went to yahama music school for kindergarden, had music, swimming, art, speech and drama, dancing lessons and played all day too. Primary school taught english n mandarin as 1st language passing mark was 60% not 50% But I didn't think it was a pressure cooker and I enjoyed my childhood I played alot and watched alot of TV too. Maybe not as much play as my SO but I still think it's alot of play
